Nextian accounts (optional)

You never need an account to browse, order, or track an order. Separately, you can choose to become a Nextian — a member of the NextTech community — by signing in with Google or Facebook. Nextian accounts are intended for users aged 18 or older.

What we receive from Google or Facebook

• Your name, email address, and profile photo, and the account ID Google or Facebook uses for you.
• We ask only for your basic profile and email address. We never receive your Google or Facebook password, we don’t get your contacts or friends list, and we can’t post anything for you.
• Google or Facebook will know that you used your account to sign in to NextTech, under their own privacy policies.

What is public and what stays private

• Public: your Nextian profile page shows your name, your profile photo, the month you joined, and any public Community activity you take part in. Your profile address is generated automatically from your name and may be adjusted to keep it unique.
• Private: your email address, your Google or Facebook account ID, and your orders are never shown on your Nextian profile or anywhere else publicly.
• Friends and Follow: the number of Friends, Followers and people you follow may appear publicly on your Nextian profile. Who those people are — your Friends, Followers and Following lists, and your friend requests — stays private: only you can see them.
• Meet the Nextians: your public profile details (name, profile photo, @handle, the month you joined, your public Community activity and counts) are listed in the Nextians directory, where anyone can search for you by name or @handle. Your email address is never shown or searchable. Signed-in Nextians may see how many friends you have in common with them, never who.

Product comments

• When you comment on a product, your comment is public, shown with your Nextian name, profile address (@handle) and profile photo, and the time you posted it. Anyone, including people who aren’t signed in, can read it. Comments are plain text; links and email addresses aren’t accepted.
• You can delete your own comment at any time. Its text is erased straight away and it disappears from the product page; we keep only a record that a comment existed (without its text) so our posting limits keep working.
• We may remove comments that break our rules (for example spam, abuse or personal information). A removed comment disappears from the product page, but we keep its text, the reason and when it was removed as a moderation record. The comment’s text is erased automatically 90 days after it was removed; a short record that a comment was removed, when and why is kept. Until its text is erased, a removed comment can’t be deleted by its author.

How we use it

• To sign you in and keep you signed in, using a secure session cookie on nexttechonline.com.
• To show your Nextian profile and your public Community activity.
• We keep our own copy of your profile photo (re-encoded, with its photo metadata removed) instead of linking to Google or Facebook. It isn’t updated automatically if you change your photo there.
• Nextian accounts and profile photos are stored with our service providers, Supabase (accounts and sign-in) and Cloudflare (photo storage), who process this data only to provide those services to us.

Marketing

Becoming a Nextian does not sign you up for marketing. We don’t use your Nextian email address to send you marketing messages. If we ever offer marketing updates, we will ask you separately, and you can say no without affecting your Nextian account.

Deleting your Nextian account

You can ask us to delete your Nextian account at any time. Send your request by email or WhatsApp using the contact details at the bottom of this page, and tell us which Nextian profile it is (for example, your profile address).

To protect your account, we confirm every request by writing to the email address linked to your Google or Facebook sign-in before we delete anything. We do not delete an account based only on a profile name or link.

Once confirmed, we delete your Nextian account, NextTech sign-in identity and sessions, your Nextian profile, and personal Community data associated with that account, except for the limited records described below, usually within 30 days.

Some information is kept on purpose:

• A one-way fingerprint of your old profile address (not the address itself) and the date it was retired, so that address is never given to anyone else. It is not linked to any other information.
• Your comments are deleted with your account, except comments we removed for breaking our rules: their text is kept as a moderation record, no longer linked to any profile, as described under Product comments.
• Orders are not connected to Nextian accounts, so deleting your Nextian account does not delete orders you placed. Order records are kept as described under Data retention.
• Our service providers may keep short-lived technical logs for a limited period.

You can also remove NextTech’s access in your Google or Facebook account settings. That stops future sign-ins but does not by itself delete your Nextian account.
